Choco Chip – chocolate chip cookie packaging design

Soft chocolate cookies are entering the mid-to-high-end segment, and we were tasked with ensuring the packaging conveyed the flavor even before the first bite. We created a design based on visual "tactile"—softness, richness, and chocolate depth.

CHALLENGE. Manufacturer Orion Int. launched a new soft chocolate cookie – a product that confidently occupies the mid-to-high-end segment in terms of the quality of its ingredients and richness of flavor. The recipe uses Belgian chocolate, and the line begins with two flavors: classic chocolate and chocolate with orange zest. Our task was to create a packaging design that would immediately convey the softness, richness, and premium nature of the product.

DESIGN IDEA. We decided to focus on the product's key competitive advantage – its texture. Soft, dense, velvety, rich with chocolate – these sensory qualities needed to be "felt" with the eyes, even before tasting.

The basis for the solution:
– Soft graphics and tactile imagery – visual elements are designed to convey the sensation of the delicate texture and "melting" chocolate. – Dominant "chocolate" color – deep cocoa tones create associations with the recipe and premium segment.
– Appetizing product composition – detailed crumbs, chocolate veins, and dough structure make the taste visually tangible.
– Emphasis on flavor differences – orange zest in the design adds a bright color and semantic "cue," helping to quickly navigate the product line.
