WOW! – packaging design for a line of oatmeal cereals

Oatmeal is one of the most consistent and popular products in the RK Europrestige portfolio. It has long become a familiar morning ritual for families: a serving of porridge, berries, and fruit. That's why the line of freeze-dried fruits, berries, and vegetables in large family sizes is a constant driver of category sales.

TASK. To create a new packaging design for a line of cereals that clearly and vividly displays the large fruits and berries in the ingredients—their key product advantage; differentiates the brand from major national players; creates a distinctive, easily recognizable "color spot" on the shelf; and reinforces the feeling of naturalness and a homemade format that is relatable to families. The line includes two oatmeal porridges and one millet porridge with pumpkin—all in a family-size package.

PACKAGING DESIGN. 1. We made the image of the bowl of porridge as bright and large as possible. The freeze-dried berries, fruits, and pumpkin are shown large, so the customer can see the promise of quality from within arm's reach. 2. We used a clean, bright palette with dominant green hues—this distinguishes the product from competitors and creates a consistent brand signature within the category. 3. Each SKU has its own accent color: purple, yellow, and red—this helps quickly navigate similar products. 4. The design conveys the atmosphere of a cozy, family-friendly morning: a large bowl, natural ingredients, and a soft, light composition—all of this supports the idea of a healthy breakfast for the whole family.
